Backup
Datasheet internal name: core_Backup
SyncroSim allows users to perform library backups. In essence, library backups are a copy of the library, made at a point in time, and saved to a .ssimbak file. By default, the backup saves all datasheets in the library, but users can opt in or out of saving the external data files, and may choose to perform automatic library backups before software updates.
The Backup system datasheet contains the following fields and options:
| Display Name | Internal Name | Optional | Data Type | Default |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Include external files in backup | IncludeData | No | Boolean | True |
| Backup library before applying updates | BeforeUpdate | No | Boolean | True |
Include external files in backup
Determines whether the external data files (e.g. GeoTIFF rasters) for the library should be included in the backup folder. If there are many large external data files, it may be beneficial to exclude them from the backup to reduce the size of the backup file.
Backup library before applying updates
Determines whether the library should be backed up before performing software updates.
Note
The paths to the backup folders are set in the Folders system datasheet.
