System Datasheets: Overview

SyncroSim organizes data into tables, called datasheets. Every SyncroSim Package comes with a set of datasheets specific to that package, but more general default datasheets also come bundled with the SyncroSim software, referred to as system datasheets. These system datasheets can be used by all other SyncroSim packages. System datasheets can belong to one of three data scopes:

Library scope

Library system datasheets contain information specific to each library. Values in each library system datasheet are shared across all projects and scenarios within the library.

Project scope

Project system datasheets contain information specific to each project. Values in each project system datasheet are shared across all Scenarios within each project.

Scenario scope

Scenario system datasheets contain information specific to each Scenario.

Summary Property

All data scopes (library, project, and scenario) also contain a Summary Property which lets you to edit the Name, Owner, and Description of that object. Each Summary Property also contains general information about the object such as the Last Modified date and time.

All Summary Properties (i.e. library, project and scenario) allow you to toggle an object's Read Only setting. When you apply the Read Only setting, you will be asked if you want to apply the change to all children of that object.

The scenario Summary Property also provides an option to Merge Dependencies when sharing data between scenarios.
