Share & Collaborate
This guide cover the basics on how to use SyncroSim Cloud to share and collaborate with others on SyncroSim Libraries, including:
- How to share a library with existing and new SyncroSim users
- How to manage collaborator access to a Library
- How to control the visibility settings of a Library
Before you continue, review the previous sections on SyncroSim Cloud basics and how to download, customize, and upload a Library. Also be sure you are logged in to syncrosim.com/cloud.
Sharing a Library
When a Library is first uploaded, it is automatically made Private and only you have access to it. To share a private Library with others, click on the Library Settings button from the My Libraries page.
Navigate to the Manage Access section. For existing SyncroSim users, enter their name or username in the search bar, and click on the Invite button. They will receive an email with a link to the Library that only they can access.
To share a Library with someone who is not a SyncroSim user yet, enter their email instead and click on the Invite button. They will receive an email inviting them to create an account and access the library.
Collaborator Roles
As the Library Owner, you can manage the type of access each collaborator has over the Library.
To give a collaborator view and download access, keep the role set to Read. To allow a collaborator to upload and overwrite the Library with changes, change the role to Write.
Making a Library Public
Making a Library public on SyncroSim Cloud allows anyone to view the Library from the Explore page.
To make a private Library public, navigate to the Manage Library section in the Library Settings page, and under Change library visibility, click on the Change to Public button.
Once a Library is made public, you may revert its visibility back to private at any time using the same process.
